Step into the warmth of the holiday season and celebrate the remarkable talent of area youth as Curtain Call Academy, the youth theater program at the Winneshiek Playhouse, presents Charles Dickens’ timeless classic, A Christmas Carol.
Performances will take place on Friday, December 11, and Saturday, December 12.
This heartwarming production showcases an extraordinarily talented cast of young performers hailing from communities across Northwest Illinois, including Warren, Orangeville, Pecatonica, Davis, and Freeport—representing Stephenson, Jo Daviess, and Winnebago counties. Together, these dedicated students have poured their energy, creativity, and enthusiasm into bringing this beloved holiday tale to life on the Winneshiek Playhouse stage.
A Christmas Carol tells the iconic story of Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey toward redemption, kindness, and the true spirit of the holidays. Packed with cozy nostalgia, memorable characters, and festive cheer, it is the perfect holiday outing for families and theater lovers of all ages.
“Our students have put so much heart and hard work into this production,” says the Curtain Call Academy team. “It is an absolute joy to watch youth from across our surrounding counties come together to build something magical. We invite our entire community to come out, support the arts, and cheer on these amazing young actors!”
